Expert Council summed up the two competitions Scholarship Program of Vladimir Potanin. The winners of the Scholarship Contest for students became Ilya Soldatov (Accounting and Finance Faculty) and Vladimir Yakimets (student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and land resources).
The grant competition for graduate teachers was won by the associate professor of statistics and econometrics department of SSAU S. Molchanenko.
The scholarship program was attended by only two agricultural universities in Russia: Stavropol State Agrarian University and the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. Timiryazev. General Director of the Fund Oksana Oracheva noted a new format of Scholarship Program, which allows to support the most interested students and teachers. This year, interest in the competition was shown by more than 6 thousand people. On results of two rounds 500 winners were determined. Students will receive a monthly stipend of Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund in the amount of 15 000 rubles per month before the end of the Masters Course.
The grant competition is conducted for master disciplines teachers. Grants are awarded in four areas: the creation of a new master's program, the development of a new course in the framework of existing programs, creating distance learning courses and online work, new methods of teaching and the development of special skills. This year, the contest interested almost 700 teachers, a hundred of them won and became holders of the grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for a period of up to one year.
Scholars and grantees have the opportunity to take part in the School of the Fund, which will be held in the summer of 2016. At the school, they will be able to submit a socially significant project and win a grant for its implementation.
