The Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted one of the largest production and educational activities, 7th the Academic Olympics of members of students’ production teams.
More than 940 students from 35 districts and towns of Stavropol Territory have decided to try their hand at the Olympic competitions, which were held on 14 areas: crop production, horticulture, animal husbandry technology, veterinary medicine, landscape design, mechanics, etc. At the end of two stages - the test of examination work by one of the five general subjects: biology, physics, geography, social studies, history; - And competitive tasks in the chosen direction determine the winner.
With parting words to the participants of the Olympiad approached the Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University V.I. Trukhachev and Deputy Chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Region V.I. Lozovoy.
- I am glad to welcome you - said to the students V.I.Truhachev. - I am glad that you have decided to participate in the competition, because it is necessary today to have a spirit of creativity, strive for more. Our university also participates in 17 competitions, and I’m as corresponding member of Russian Academy of Science, involved in 5. Academic Olympics are traditionally held in the Agricultural University. Its purpose is development of creative abilities of children, stimulating interest in scientific research, applied sciences.
V.I. Lozovoy, addressing to the participants, wished them success and expressed hope that the Academic Olympics will help them to acquire competitive experience. "Today you parted in the wonderful world of the future student’s life", - said the Deputy.
