Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation D.V. Livanov held a meeting on the development of agricultural education

The Rector of SSAU V.I. Trukhachev made a main report about the prospects of development of higher education in agriculture of the country in a meeting chaired by Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation D.V. Livanov in Moscow.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and heads of educational institutions of higher education under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

The meeting was opened D.V. Livanov, with the first report was presented by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, E. Yu Astrakhantseva. She reported on the main directions of reforming the higher education institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. Federal Education and Science Supervision Service results of operations were announced at a meeting also with respect to higher education institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the basic objectives and principles of the modernization of the economic and legal education.

The Rector of SSAU, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Agricultural Universities of the country, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor V.I. Trukhachev reported on the key issues faced by today the agrarian universities of the Russian Federation and the mechanisms for their solution. In particular, he raised the issue of the creation on the basis of the leading agricultural universities of major national research universities, which would create conditions for the introduction of high-tech industries and agribusiness to ask a new impetus to economic and social development of individual regions. Also Vladimir Ivanovich touched on training for the agricultural sector, the grant system of the Ministry of Education of Russia in the field of agricultural areas, social support of orphans and other children.

At the end of his speech V.I. Trukhachev on behalf of all agricultural universities rectors expressed gratitude to the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation D.V. Livanov for attention to the urgent problems of development of higher education and supporting higher education institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
