Men's basketball team of the SSAU entered the top twenty of the best student teams in the country

In Volgograd ended stage matches of Last-64 of Belov League. Belov League is All-Russian playoff championship of the Student Basketball Association with the participation of the strongest 64 men and 64 women teams. It is held in three stages – Last-64, Last-16 and Super Final. At each stage the teams play in quartets Shootout. Only one team gets to the next stage. There play 700 teams in the playing league.

"Our guys won the first match from the team from Rostov-on-Don. They held up well, worked well in attack and defense – said coach of the SSAU Elena Chebotova. – But in the second game they gave 20 points the team "Volgas" from Volgograd, but it should be noted that two of the leading players of our team were injured".
