The Department of State and Municipal Management and Law at SSAU continues the series of five lectures in English on elections in the Russian Federation.
The theme of the fourth public lecture was «Elections of Deputies of the Duma of the Stavropol City. The Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation V.A. Cherepanov delivered the lecture. As a guest was the mayor of Stavropol, the chairman of the Stavropol City Duma G.S. Kolyagin. He spoke about the upcoming changes of the Charter of Stavropol and answered questions. Students were interested in the pressing problems of the town, the procedure and the possibility of university graduates apply for a job to the administration of Stavropol.
Professor VA Cherepanov, the keynote speaker, was also asked a lot of questions. 2nd year student of the Faculty of Economics, Oleg Dubina asked how he could become a deputy of the Stavropol Municipal Duma in English. The question was, in some way oriented to check the proficiency in English received a detailed reply in English.
The event is supported by the Electoral Commission of Stavropol Territory. It was attended by professors and over 200 students from different faculties of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
