National Academic staff and faculty Choir of SSAU confirmed the title of "national team of amateur art creativity" for the second time. The collective was created on April 1st, 1999. For the first time the title of "national" was received in 2007, and in 2013 the high level of artistic and performance skills, active work on the aesthetic education of residents of the region confirmed that title.
The Honored Artist of Russia V. Korotkov, who loves his job and is devoted to it, leads the collective. The choir's repertoire is diverse and includes the best examples of Russian and foreign classics, folk melodies. Songs of modern composers are widely represented. The major part is represented by songs performed a cappella.
High performance level allowed the team to become diplomants of different competitions and festivals. The success brought the genuine performance sincerity, honesty and skill. Native poetic melody causes light emotions, strengthening and developing love for the native land, teaches purity of feelings, kindness and justice.
SSAU Choir is one of the best choirs of the city and the region. Congratulations to all participants and its head! We are proud of you and wish new creative successes!
The development of cultural and educational activities is encouraged by its rector, Professor V. Trukhachev. It is the only university where the Honored Worker of Culture of Russia Associate Professor of of Philosophy and History Chair V. Kurchev and honorary workers of Culture Associate Professor of the Faculty of mechanization E. Zubenko and director of the Center of aesthetic education I. Maklakov are teaching.
