Qualifying baskerball round of the sixth Summer Universiade of Russian Agriculture Ministry universities starts in the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Chief judge of the competition, the chairman of SSAU sports club Alexander Marchenko told, that to the regional center today basketball teams of Gorsky (Vladikavkaz), Donskoy, Kabardino-Balkarian, Volgograd State Agricultural University arrived to participate.
The grand opening of the basketball tournament will be held on Friday, May 13th, at the SSAU sports complex. The results of the three days of play will be announced on Sunday, May 15th.
Summer Universiade of Russian Agriculture Ministry universities also includes a volleyball competitions, athletics, power lifting, darts, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, summer polyathlon (pentathlon). Qualifying rounds in these sports will be held at different venues of agricultural universities of the country.
Strongest Universiade teams will meet in the finals from 4 to 10 July on the basis of the Kuban State Agrarian University in Krasnodar.
