Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Management and Law V.A.Cherepanov became an academician of RANS.

Diploma of the Academy of Natural Sciences (Russian Academy of Natural Sciences) was awarded to professor of the Department of State and Municipal Management and Law of Stavropol State Agrarian University V.A. Cherepanov at the section of Natural Sciences in Moscow on May, 12 this year.

The election of Professor V.A.Cherepanov as an academician of RANS shows the appreciation for the scientific community of his merits in the development of science and legislation of our country.

Cherepanov Viktor Alekseevich, Doctor of Juridical Science, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation - a versatile scientist working on actual problems of Russian federalism, electoral law, democracy in Russia.

V.A. Cherepanov is the author of 150 scientific works in various branches of knowledge (psychology, sociology, law), including monographs, textbooks, manuals. With his participation was written the first textbook in sociology in the Soviet Union "Working book of a sociologist" that withstood six editions in our country (1977, 1983, 2003, 2006, 2012, 2015) and was translated into many foreign languages.

In 2016, the central legal publishing house "Norma" published his textbook "Constitutional Law of Russia", which is recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science as a textbook for all universities of the country.

Working a long time in public authorities and local authorities, including the Administration of the Russian President, the Government and the State Duma of Stavropol Territory, Victor Alekseevich took direct part in the formation of the system of state and municipal management of Stavropol Territory. As a member of the State Duma of Stavropol region the first convocation, he made a significant contribution to the creation of the regional legislative system. Merits of V.A. Cherepanov in the development of legal science, law, state and municipal government awarded a number of state awards.
