Today at the conference of the staff of the Stavropol State Agrarian University for a period for five years, new members of the Academic Council of the university were elected in the amount of 51 people. Including 30 doctors of sciences, 19 - candidates of sciences, 29 professors, one of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, two professors of Russian Academy of Sciences, a Hero of Socialist Labor (it is the highest degree of distinction for work, the highest rank in the USSR from 1938 to 1991), four honored worker of science of the Russian Federation, 11 honored workers of higher education, 15 Russian honorary AIC employees.
There was a voting by secret ballot. However, none of the candidates on the list did not cause doubts among the delegates.
"All the people here are well known to us, all are worthy", - said the Rector of SSAU, Professor V.I. Trukhachev putting his ballot into the ballot box.
He aimed the staff at advancing development of the university.
"Pay close attention to the performances of leading scientists, economists and practitioners. Analyze. Try to see your place, the place of the department, the faculty and the university in the processes that are rapidly developing in the world economy. We must look forward, to give students, graduates with the knowledge and skills that will be needed in the near future. Today we are first and best among the universities. But this does not give us the right to at least pause for a moment. Thank you for your selfless work ", - said the Rector at the end of the conference.
