The winner in the final of the All-Russian competition for the best scientific work in the "Biological sciences" became a graduate student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the SSAU

Yatsyk Olesya Andreevna, graduate student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (her supervisor is Doctor of Biological Sciences Krivoruchko Aleksandr Yurevich) took second place in the All-Russian competition for the best scientific work among students, graduate students and young scientists of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in the category "Biological sciences".
The contest took place on the basis of FSBEI HO Orenburg State Agrarian University.
The presented project involves the development and implementation in practice of method of sheep assess productivity, meat sheep breeds of Russian alleles of the gene of growth hormone. The method proposed in the work is meant for accurate assessment of the presence of sheep allelic variants of growth hormone-related gene, with high meat productivity in a short period of time (within 6-8 hours).
The jury noted the high level of work and practical significance of developed methods that will allow to solve the problem of assessing and predicting the productive qualities of sheep of domestic species bred in the North Caucasus, immediately after birth.
