Stage manager Valery Bakirov, "Stavropol Agrarian University is a real jewel"

Opposite finding of each other took place at the creative meeting of the SSAU students with novelist, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker Valery Nikolayevich Bakirov, which took place in the framework of the II Forum of Interregional creative unions "Belaya akatsiya", including the film festival, "Festival Festivaley".

Valery Bakirov brought to show his almost documentary "Beliy yagel", filmed three years ago in the harsh conditions of the Far North in the camp of reindeer herders. The script of the film "Beliy yagel" V.N. Bakirov wrote on the works of talented Nenets writer, deservedly called a classic of modern Russian literature Anna Pavlovna Nerkagi, whose fate and creativity are inextricably linked with the fate of the Nenets people.

This unique project about the life of the Nenets was nominated for the prestigious film award "Oscar".

The stage manager told that put in the film a lot of personal, inspired by reflections on the fate of his grandfather, who died in the Great Patriotic War in the Arctic Circle.

"When I and my brother found his grave under the snow I found a white moss – moss which eat deer. And when studio producer offered me to work on the script for "Beliy yagel" I had no doubts that I will run and shoot"- told Valery Bakirov.

Russia is a multinational country, and young Stavropol people, including representatives of the Caucasian people, with interest acquainted with the peculiarities of life and culture of one of the unexplored people of the North.

At the centre of the film is the story of the marriage of a young Nenets, the fight between love and national way of life – close and understandable for young Caucasians. The film caused great interest of the younger generation.

The students asked many questions to the stage manager.

Valery Bakirov and his wife, in turn, got acquainted with the university, visited various classrooms of the SSAU, giving the highest estimate of what they saw. "This is a pearl, a real jewel" – the stage manager repeated several times.

The meeting was held in the Library Day. Guests looked not only in the reading room, but in the rare book department, which also caused their admiration. "In a unique institution is a unique library" – with these words Valery Bakirov – author of "The tendency to escape" - gave his work as a gift to the university, congratulated librarians on their professional holiday.
