Stavropol State Agrarian University of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation took this year the 85th line in the fifth annual ranking of universities RAEX (Expert RA), which is made according to the conditions for quality education in the university, the level of graduates demand by employers and the level of scientific and research activities of the university.
SSAU is the only agrarian university and the only one in the North Caucasus Federal District came in the top 100 of the prestigious national ranking.
And no wonder.
SSAU Rector, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev firmly and consistently takes the course for training quality and relevance of university graduates. For educational, sports, leisure branches the SSAU gets the best, the most advanced equipment and tools. Namely in the SSAU there was opened the first in the region center of youth innovation creativity FabLab «Vector» with the equipment for 3D-modeling.
On 9 faculties of the university study more than 15 thousand students. It employs 41 departments, 83 innovation laboratories and centers, scientific library, institute of additional professional education, 49 small innovative enterprises, 3 greenhouses, 2 vivariums. Academic programme is completed by rich sporting and cultural life. It offers students two sports complexes, horse-riding school, multipurpose playground with three play areas for volleyball, streetball, badminton and the first street workout-area in the Stavropol Region.
The university has 4 existing dormitories. One more is super-modern, for 750 places, will be commissioned by September 1 of the current year.
The amount of employed graduates of the Stavropol agrarian university composes 75%, at a rate of 50%.
SSAU is a member of the European Association of Life Sciences Universities, uniting 62 universities from 30 European countries for the development of research and educational activities in the agricultural sector in Europe. Today the university has 66 partner countries.
International programs APOLLO, LOGO and DAAD provide an opportunity for students to get acquainted with the agriculture in Germany, population, culture and life as well as undergo working and language practice, they have become familiar to students of technological faculties of the SSAU. The academic mobility of students and graduate students is more than 1500 people a year.
In addition the Stavropol Agrarian University has won a number of prestigious awards in the field of quality. In particular the university became a double winner of the European competition of the EFQM Excellence Award (2013. 2010). This prestigious European award is the highest achievement of the organizations in the field of sustainable development.

The rating agency RAEX (Expert RA) is the first in Russia and the fourth in the world organization, whose university rankings have successfully passed the international audit IREG Observatory.
In 2016 the agency has received the right to use the mark "Approved by IREG" (IREG Approved), confirming that the methodology for ranking universities in Russia RAEX (Expert RA), its training procedures and presenting the results meet the highest quality standards.
