Young scientists of the SSAU took two second places in agronomy and biological sciences in the final of the All-Russian competition

The final of All-Russian competition for the best scientific work among students, graduate students and young scientists of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in agronomy and biological sciences took place this year on May 27^th 2016 in the FSBEI HE "Orenburg State Agrarian University".

The second place in the category "Agriculture" took the 4th year student of the faculty of agrobiology and land resources of the SSAU Nikita Novichikhin (supervisor – Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of department for production and processing of food products from vegetable raw materials Maria Vladimirovna Selivanova).

Nikita Novichikhin made a report on the effectiveness of iodine compounds, silicon and silver in tomato cultivation techniques in a protected ground.

In the category "Biological Sciences" the second place took the post-graduate student of the second year from the department of physiology, surgery and obstetrics of the faculty of veterinary medicine Olesya Yatsyk (supervisor – Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the department of physiology, surgery and obstetrics, head of scientific and diagnostic and therapeutic veterinary center Alexander Yurievich Krivoruchko). Topic of Olesya Yatsyk’s report was - "Development of test system for genomic breeding sheep alleles of the gene of growth hormone".

The participants were accompanied by the member of the commission from the FSBEI HE "Stavropol State Agrarian University," Head of the Department of Plant and Breeding named after Professor F.I. Bobryshev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Alexander Ivanovich Voyskovoy.
