The State is taking a course on the country's food security and agriculture development, support and training for agriculture. It is clear that training on contract bse is the only way of staffing farms. The enterprise itself chooses young men from the local residents, who after studying in the city and getting a degree, going back to his native village and at least three years of work with a degree in agriculture, which sent them for study.
This year's admission plan in Stavropol State Agrarian University on contract training is 262 budgetary places, said University Vice-rector for social affairs and vocational work Alexander Marin.
"Not a student or an organization, sending him or her on training will pay for the education, but the State. But the company, which sends a young man to work, must provide measures of social support: it is the payment of scholarships, payment of food and travel. The University, for its part, is ready to provide all non-local and rural students with dwelling – on August, 10 a new ultra-modern housing for 1000 students will be opened, so our children don’t have to pay rent and go across town for classes or sporting, and cultural events that take place regularly at the University. Student life is interesting, children are able to realize themselves in various directions, to return to the village of versatile individuals," - said A. N. Marin.
Currently 150 contracts have been concluded. The most active are Shpakovskiy, Apanasenkovsky, Izobilnensky, Krasnogvardeisky, Mineralovodsky districts that submitted 10 or more applications for training on contract base. But Andropovsky, Levokumsky, Neftekumsky, Novoselytskyi and Sovietsky areas have only one contract each. Perhaps not all organizations are willing to make commitments in respect of contract education, therefore teenagers are losing the opportunity to learn on the budgetary base.
Currently about 3 thousand applications were held, including those from people from other regions Sakhalin and Arkhangelsk region, Crimea. More than just those who study on the budget form in the specialties "Veterinary science", "Land management and cadastres", "Exploitation of transport and technological machines and complexes", "Power and electrical engineering". On a paid basis the most popular "Economic security", "Economics (Finance and credit)", "State and municipal management".
According the Vice-rector for academic and educational work, associate professor Ivan Atanov, diploma of the SSAU is known and appreciated not only in the region but also beyond.
"Our graduates are in demand more than graduates of other institutions. This year, we faced the fact that orders for young specialists were more than graduates in several specialties. We began to attract more manufacturers to participate in the educational process and the final thesis defense. Employers are looking and invite their staff from our University. In addition, the University is the only University in NCFD – entered the TOP-100 best universities of Russia, and we are the first among agricultural universities of the country, not the first year", - said I. V. Atanov.
