The staff of the Faculty of Agrobiology and land resources, and students (3 courses) of Agronomy direction (Horticulture) and 2 course Food from plant material direction (Technology of Fermentation and Winemaking) recently took part in a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory dedicated to preparing for the harvest of fruits and grapes in Stavropol region. The College also considered the prospects for the development of infrastructure for the storage of fruits and grapes.
The plenary session discussed the measures of state support tab of vineyards and orchards, regulatory vineyards branch of Stavropol Territory, the problems of the private viticulture.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory V.N. Sitnikov. Presentations were made by: First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Stavropol Territory N.T. Velikdan, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory V.P. Egorov, head of the district administration Petrovsky A.A. Zakharchenko, director of SHP "Vinogradnoye" S.A. Bondarev.
In terms of sanctions to the regional farmers need to maximize providing the population with agricultural products, including increased production of fruit and grapes in five times.
Production of fruits, grapes is one of the most important area of economic activity of agribusiness, - said the Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Krai Vladimir Sitnikov.
During the meeting participants visited the young vineyards in K (F) X Akhmedkhanov A.V. (Petrovsky district).
