The main European livestock salon was attended by scientists of the Faculty of Technological Management; they familiarized with the experience of the best French farms for the production and processing of meat and milk and signed a protocol of cooperation with the French Institute of livestock.
At the 25-th exhibition Sommet DE i'elevage (“Livestock Summit”) from 5 to 7 October in Clermont-Ferrand - a city in central France - about 2 000 cattle of high genetic value were presented. The summit, held at the home of the world's best beef cattle breeds, organized a grand exhibition of 175 thousand square meters. It was attended by about 1,300 exhibitors, including 264 foreign - from 28 countries. Around 85,000 industry professionals visited the international exhibition, which has become the hallmark of French livestock.
As members of the official delegation of heads and top managers of the Russian agrienterprises professors of the Faculty of Technological Management - Nikolay Z. Zlydnev and Sergey A. Oleynik also went on a business trip. It was important for the scientists performing research on the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation "Development of optimal selection and production process models such as the cows adapted to the South of Russia" to see with their own eyes the advancements of dairy and meat industries of France and take part in the exhibition.
Each year, major European livestock salon shows a variety of technical innovations and breeds of farm animals, organizes various competitions, business meetings, professional events and lectures on topical issues in agriculture. "So this year, the largest exhibition focused on all sections of the animal husbandry. Nutrition, genetics, hygiene, and the health of animals, a variety of techniques, milking and other equipment for animal husbandry, renewable energy, agricultural machinery, etc., - told the professors of Stavropol State Agrarian University. – In the framework of the exhibition at various competitions and presentations we saw 1300 cattle of 22 meat and dairy breeds.
Professors of SSAU Zlydnev N.Z. and Oleynik S.A. also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of the best farm households in France for the production and processing of meat and milk - Montaleix (Chambon sur lac), Gaec Meley (Puy Guillaume), Ris (Ris Gare).
In order to promote international scientific contacts between scientists of Stavropol State Agrarian University and foreign colleagues a protocol on cooperation with the head of the international department of the French Livestock Institute (Institut de Lelevage) - Philip AME was signed.
