Work with any resource

Scientific Library SSAU completed a series of classes with 1st year students on the basics of information culture, library science and bibliography.

During the lesson students studied to work with both traditional and electronic resources: card catalogues and card indexes, the electronic catalogues, electronic library systems. First-year students were registered in FBS «Znanium.com» and "Lan’", this will allow them to use e-books which are now represented in these systems. By the way, the effectiveness of these activities is already evident. According to statistics of the Scientific Library and librarians SSAU observation, it is confirmed by the growth of the readers of references to electronic resources and increasing information literacy of students.

Particular attention was paid to the new knowledge on scientometrics and scientometric databases. Graduate students SSAU got skills to work with the International abstracts databases (SCOPUS, Web of Science) and the National bibliographic database Science Citation, which will continue to affect the dissemination of the results of research conducted by them, increase the prestige of the Russian scientist community and our Agrarian University.
