The team of Stavropol State Agrarian University participated in the International Student Vavilov Competition, which was held on17 of November at Saratov State Agrarian University.
Traditionally, this competition is conducted on the basis of Saratov State Agrarian University between students of agricultural universities, this year in the framework of events dedicated to the 129-th birth anniversary of Academician Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov.
To participate in the International competition in Saratov State Agrarian University students come from 10 Russian agrarian universities and the Republic of Kazakhstan. In a bitter struggle fought 13 student teams from Uralsk, Moscow, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, Penza, Stavropol, Saratov and other cities.
The team of Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and land resources - Captain Vera Sheykina (3rd year), Elena Tsygankova (3rd year) and Peter Zuev (4th year), who won second prize in.
In the battle of captains Vera Sheykina took III place, and Peter Zuev was the leader in the individual competition, demonstrating the best knowledge of the vital activity of the world-famous scientist, geneticist and breeder, academician Nikolai Vavilov.
