Stavropol State Agrarian University became a full member of the national selection and livestock breeding

Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation № 522 of November 21, 2016 Laboratory of breeding quality of the Stavropol State Agrarian University as an organization validated milk for livestock breeding.

Work on the creation of this laboratory was launched in 2015 under the leadership of Rector SSAU, Academician Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. It was a part of a research project on the instructions of the Federal Ministry of industry.

To perform the study at the Faculty of Technological Management SSAU was created by highly genetic resources Livestock Centre, headed by a professor of the Department of Private animal husbandry, breeding animals, doctor of agricultural sciences Sergey Oleynik. The centre began its activities and reference laboratory evaluation of the quality of milk, so that the work on the study of the quality of the milk carried out in six major breeding farms in the Stavropol Territory. Among them, LLC joint venture "Chapaevsk" Shpakovsky area, SEC farm-breeding plant "Kazminsky", SEC farm-breeding plant "Kuban" Kochubeevsky area, SEC farm-breeding plant "Russia" Novoalexandrovsky District and SEC farm Voroshilov Trunovsky area.

The university itself is a breeding laboratory quality control of milk is equipped with modern foreign and domestic appliances. Milkoskan Mars, FOSS (Denmark), the analyser of somatic cells the DeLaval (Sweden), the analyser of somatic cells Ecoscan (Bulgaria) and other equipment allow us to investigate 500-700 samples per day on seven parameters: fat, protein, somatic cells, acidity, SNF, lactose, the freezing point. These technological capabilities are able to fully meet the needs of breeding farms of Stavropol Territory in a monthly survey to 10 thousand samples of milk!

In addition, having the presence of two minibuses «Volkswagen Multivan» (Germany) and «Fiat Ducato» (Russia-Italy), the Control Centre specialists highly productive animal genetic resources, based on the agreed graphics, produce a selection of milk samples and delivering them to the lab providing a rhythmic loading personnel and equipment.

The emergence of university laboratory breeding of milk quality control in the Stavropol region has already announced the Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov. This event, of course, is expected by our breeders. Therefore, in the near future a meeting on breeding dairy cattle breeding in the region, which will be updated the main activities of the laboratory SSAU.
