Stavropol is proud of its heroes: their bravery, courage, fortitude will not be forgotten!

Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the meeting devoted to the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Stavropol from the Nazi invaders.

January 20, 2017 in the Stavropol region launched an event devoted to the Great Victory over fascism by Soveit people.

Traditional meeting was held in the capital region, on Fortress Hill, the memorial "Eternal Flame". Here gathered veterans, students, and Students of high schools, urban public, government officials and soldiers of the Stavropol garrison to honor liberator soldiers who gave their lives in the bloody World War II.

In January 1943, our Stavropol threw off the yoke of fascism. Which lasted more than five months, the occupation of Nazi troops killed many citizens. Tortured to death were more than eight thousand people - women, old people and children.

"Black stripe in the life of Stavropol" called this the most difficult period of the war party, chairman of the city branch of the Stavropol regional public organization of veterans of war, labor, armed forces and law enforcement agencies Kuralesov Peter: "But have defended and saved the country! The liberation of the city - this is a great victory for the people. "

Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk wished veterans health and youth of wisdom. He stressed that the church was with his people during the Great Patriotic War. During this period, the Caucasus has opened 140 temples, they all prayed for victory.

Sincere thanks to the legendary veterans still alive-Stavropol citizens expressed and students of the Agrarian University and wished them longevity. Then the guys laid fresh flowers to the fallen heroes, honoring their exploit a moment of silence.
