Future financiers were thinking about future career

Lecture-discussion organized by the teachers of the department "Finance, credit and insurance", was held for the 4th year students of the Faculty of Accounting and Financial SSAU, with the participation of representatives of the insurance company PJSC SR "Rosgosstrakh".

The insurance agent is a representative of the insurance company selling policies to his customers. Today, the profession of insurance agent acquired a completely new meaning. The insurance agent is both a psychologist, a lawyer and economist.

It is clear that no one is immune from disease and injury, theft, floods and other similar misfortunes. But to reduce the damage caused by the accident can be insuring their property, health and even life. And it is possible to insure everything from the machine to the parts of his own body. So, for example, the famous dancer Rudolf Nureyev insured her legs, which were seen as a working tool. The title of insurance agent in different countries is different. In most European countries, each insurance agent working on behalf of a single insurance company. In the US, insurance agent is an independent entrepreneur, which may be a representative of a group of companies. In Russia, an insurance agent may also be a number of companies, insurers, with each of them he signed a contract. But it can work with one company.

Today, the agent is the main person of any insurance company. What exactly does this employee? What is the beauty of the profession of insurance agent? This was during a lecture-discussion "Interesting work, a successful career," learned 4th year students (speciality "Finance and Credit"). The event was organized by the teachers of the department "Finance, credit and insurance" within the framework of the Student insurance agency and held with the participation of representatives of the insurance company PJSC IC "Rosgosstrakh".

Ademia Barievna Samakaeva, the chief agency sales management specialist branch of PJSC IC "Rosgosstrakh" in the Stavropol region, told the students not only about the features of an insurance agent, but also how to get acquainted with the results of the largest insurance companies.

Master Training Specialist Marina Evgenievna Svidina explained that the insurance agent profession involves constant contact with people and negotiating. And as an agent sells insurance services, which are quite difficult to understand, it is very important to have his good communication skills, ability to work with information, listen and persuade, to achieve success in this area.

At the end of the lecture, students Dedkova Daria and Evgeny Rusanov who were actively involved in the discussion, were awarded by prizes from "Rossgosstrah". And the outcome of the event was conducted by inviting graduate students for internships in the largest Russian insurance companies.
