Biodiagnosis for making managerial decisions

On the basis of Gazprom transgaz Stavropol, the first framework event of the Year of Ecology was held - the scientific and practical conference "Environmental Protection and Environmental Security in the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts", during which scientists of the State Agrarian University informed about their scientific developments.

The participants of such a large-scale event were the executives and specialists of LLC “Gazprom transgaz Stavropol”, LLC “Gazpromenergo”, LLC “Gazprom UGS”, LLC “Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo” branch, the Caucasian Gas Gaznadzor Administration, the Department of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the North Caucasus Federal District, the Ministry of Natural Resources And environmental protection of Stavropol Territory, the Non-Governmental Environmental Foundation named after V.I. Vernadsky, Stavropol State Agrarian University, North-Caucasian Federal University, SevKavNIPIgaz.

Speakers analyzed the trends, shared experiences and discussed the prospects of solving the actual environmental problems of our time.

Agrarian University presented the report "Application of integrated bio-diagnostics technologies in environmental quality control", authors of which are the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev; Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor Alexander Nikolayevich Esaulko; Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction Julia Mandra.

In her presentation, Yu. A. Mandra spoke about the perspectives of using plant organisms as indicators of the ecological state at oil and gas facilities, urbanized and specially protected areas. And the practical significance of the presented development lies in the fact that the data obtained in the course of bio-diagnostics is a real basis for making managerial decisions, which makes it possible to give recommendations on the location of economic facilities, construction, expansion of production, and assessment of potential threats to the facility.

Words of greeting and farewell to the gas workers and their guests were addressed to the youngest generation of Stavropolists. The conference ended with awarding the winners of the contest "The Best Ecologist of 2016 in LLC “Gazprom transgaz Stavropol."
