Three years of Crimean spring!

With pride and enthusiasm for the unity with Russia of the Crimean Republic and the city of Sevastopol under the flags of the native university, students and teachers of the Agrarian University, headed by the Rector V. I. Truhachev, joined the festive meeting.

March 18, in the regional center, in the square of the Stavropol Palace of Culture and Sport, under the auspices of the Public Chamber of the Krai, a meeting-concert "Crimean Spring - We Are Together!" was held. To the four thousand people gathered from the stage, addressed the region, representatives of public organizations. In their speeches, they announced the support of the course of the country's leadership, the inviolability of the unity of Russia and the Crimea, the ties that unite Stavropol and the inhabitants of the peninsula.

At the meeting, the chairman of the regional Council of Veterans Alexei Gonochenko spoke. He recalled that during the Great Patriotic War hundreds of Stavropolists fought for the liberation of Sevastopol and the Crimea and many of our fellow countrymen fell in the Crimean land, and in the difficult post-war years the Stavropolians helped restore the national economy there. And not without reason for the Crimeans, the day of reunification with Russia - March 18, became truly historic, the second after the Victory Day!

The coordinator of the party project "Historical Memory" in the region, three times the Chevalier of the Order of Courage, the deputy of the Duma of the Stavropol Territory Sergey Arnoldovich Shevelev joined the congratulations on the festive date; Honored Worker of General Education, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, Secretary of the Public Council of the Administration of Stavropol, "Business Woman of the City of Stavropol - 2016" Valentina Medvedeva; Member of the regional headquarters of the ONF, Alexei Gridin, and member of the Executive Committee and the Central Council of the Russian AFR of Russia Ivan Paltsev. All of them spoke with pride about the will and determination of the Crimeans and Sevastopolites who voted in the referendum for unity with Russia.

Representatives of labor collectives, city and regional authorities, political parties expressed their solidarity with the inhabitants of the Black Sea region in plaques and flags in the ranks of the demonstrators. At the rally, one could see Gennady Yagubov, chairman of the Duma of the Stavropol Territory, and first deputy Dmitry Sudavtsov, deputies Viktor Goncharov, Yuri Gontar, Alexei Nazarenko, members of the regional Duma administration, members of the regional government, workers of the Stavropol administration, deputies of the city Duma.

Of course, the representatives of the Order of Stavropol State Agrarian University - students, deans of faculties, teachers and staff headed by the rector of the university, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Truhachev, could not stay away from the landmark event in the newest Russian history. Still not absolutely warm spring midday was warmed by smiles of amicable collective Agrarnogo and glee: "Our Crimea! We are together!".

Expressing their emotions about the three-year date of the long-awaited reunion of Russia with the Crimea and Sevastopol, the representatives of the SSAU said: "We want Russia to be stronger!", "... To develop the Crimea and flourish!", "When we are united, We are invincible, and all challenges will be on our side! ".

The peninsula Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are again part of the Russian Federation in 2014. This decision was made after the referendum, which was held on March 16, 2014. The initiative of joining the Crimea to Russia was supported by the majority: about 97% of the inhabitants of the Crimea and more than 95.5% of citizens of Sevastopol. The agreement "On Admission to the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea" was signed on March 18, 2014 in the St. George's Hall of the Kremlin.
