About market challenges and challenges of the era

With an open lecture for students of the third year of the "Agronomics", a representative of Syngenta LLC, a strategic partner of the Stavropol State Agrarian University and business project director SV Groshev made a speech.

The dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, presented a greeting speech to the students, presenting the lecturer - candidate of agricultural sciences Sergei Vladimirovich Groshev.

Sergey Vladimirovich told not only about the history of the agrarian business, but also about his current state, emphasizing that the development of agribusiness in Russia is impossible without the introduction of new information technologies and the evolutionary breakthrough of all sectors of the economy. It was thanks to this that the cultivation of some crops in those regions where their growth was initially impossible due to climatic conditions became real. The level at which the domestic agriculture is currently located, Sergei Vladimirovich characterized as active. The lecturer related this to the events of recent years, when the economic crisis clearly demonstrated the need to get rid of oil dependence, and agriculture has become one of the priority areas of the economy of the Russian Federation.

In the opinion of S. V. Groshev, with the growing influence of the state and depending on the degree of manifestation of the crisis phenomena in the economy, the dependence of agricultural producers on state support measures will increase. At the same time, the growth of agricultural production will continue, and the specialty of the agronomist, including plant protection, will be very much in demand.

The grain market is considered to be one of the most promising in our country. Following the results of harvesting of cereals, 2016 is an absolute record for the entire modern history of Russia. In this regard, further increase of export potential, development of the market and new directions in processing are actual. During the lecture, it was noted that selection and seed production have long existed and are developing in the format of international activity, since it is impossible to deal with them within the borders of one country. After all, the same climatic zones can not be confined to the borders of one state. Therefore, the programs that the company "Syngenta" imply is the constant movement of breeding material from one country to another, this is the basis for progress and success in these areas.

According to S.V. Groshev, making the most of the potential of genetics, adapted cultivation technologies, best practices and knowledge of the market, joint efforts can increase the profitability of our country's agriculture. At the end of the lecture, Sergei Vladimirovich Groshev called on future agrarians to remember one indisputable truth that the great philosopher of Ancient Greece Aristotle said: "For us - the experience of previous generations, for our generations - our experience."
