Agrarian science - for dairy cattle breeding in Russia

Publication of scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University appeared on the front pages of the Informational Bulletin of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In the February issue of the Research and Production Information Bulletin of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation (No. 2, 2017), an article "Development of a regional model for managing high-yield genetic livestock resources" was published. It presents the results of research work on improving the management system of the dairy herd, received by the creative team of the Faculty of Technological Management of the Stavropol Agrouniversity under the leadership of the Rector, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Department of Feeding and General Biology V. Truhachev and Doctors of Agricultural Sciences - Professor of the department of private zootechny, breeding and breeding of animals S. Oleinik and professor of the Department of Nursing and General Biology N. Zlydneva.

Approbation of the results of their scientific work in the leading breeding farms of the Stavropol Territory allowed developing recommendations for dairy cattle breeding throughout Russia, since for the modern dairy cattle breeding the most urgent issues remaining effective professional management. It is thanks to the introduction of the modern methodology of the International Committee for the Registration of Animals (ICAR) in the leading dairy herds of the EU, USA, Canada, Israel, highly productive genetic resources in dairy cattle breeding - golshtinized genotypes of dairy cattle with a productivity of 9-13 thousand kg of milk per cow per year.

The presented development is the next stage of the purposeful work on harmonization of the national regulatory framework with international legislation in the Russian Federation.
