973 secondary school students from the Stavropol Territory act correctly - they enter Agrarian University!

An unprecedented number of children participated in the VIII regional Olympiad of student production brigades this year. As a result, 70 winners and prize winners will receive additional points upon admission to the Stavropol State Agrarian University

On April 8 at Agrarian University, where they are heartily welcome guests, they were waiting for the arrival of very young future agrarians. Numerous buses arrived at the address of the university registration - Zootekhnicheskiy lane, 12.

Schoolchildren from the 24 districts of the Stavropol Territory, who distinguished themselves most in the VIII regional Olympiad of student production brigades, which is traditionally held by the best agrarian higher educational institution of the country, came for deserved awards. They were met in the assembly hall with smiles and applause by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Stavropol Territory Irina V. Kuvaldina, Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Region Yevgeny N. Kozyura and Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir I. Truhachev. He gave good farewells from the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirovich Vladimirov to all the children and the school directors who arrived with them, to the heads of the education departments of the district administrations and opened the official ceremony.

"You are our hope and our future!” - spoke to the young audience of I.V. Kuvaldina. - This event is very important for our agrarian Stavropol region. There is nowhere such a wonderful Olympiad and such a rich history of the movement of student production brigades, as in the Stavropol region." She wished children to link their lives with agriculture and to enter Stavropol State Agrarian University. E.N. Kozyura recalled that most of the leadership of the region came out of the walls of this particular institution, the material and technical base and the teaching staff of which make it possible to obtain a quality education in various specialties of the agrarian sphere.

Further, the Rector V.I. Truhachev said that the Olympiad in 2017 included 14 contests: "Plant Grower", "Fruit and Vegetable Breeder", "Livestock Technologist", "Food Technologist", "Veterinary Doctor", "Landscape Designer", "Lesovod", "Land surveyor", "Mechanic", "Electrician", "Inventor and Rationalizer", "Ecologist", "Restaurateur-hotelier", "Tour operator-travel agent".

Grachevsky, Ipatovsky, Novoaleksandrovsky, Shpakovsky, Izobilny, Kochubeevsky districts showed special activity in terms of the number of participants (from 69 to 106) in the Olympiad. It is worth noting the schools, in the walls of which the largest number of today's winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad are studying. This is the school number 17 Alexandrovsky district, No. 8 Grachevsky district, No.4 Izobilnensky district, No.1 Kochubeevsky district, as well as schools No. 1, 3, 9 from Shpakovsky district.

The leadership of the university decided: the first place (by the number of competitions) is given to 14 people, the second place to 28 people, and the 3^rd also to 28 people. Upon admission to the Agrarian University, the winners will receive 5 points, the winners (2nd and 3 rd places) - 4 and 3 points respectively.

Each of the 70 best participants of the Olympiad was personally congratulated by his future rector - Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Duma deputy of the Stavropol Territory, Hero of Labor of Stavropol, Honorary citizen of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev.

"This Olympiad was very thoughtful, interesting and brought great benefits to all of us. We have gained valuable experience of participating in such a high level of competition, "Dmitriy Yankin, one of the winners of the VIII regional Olympiad of student production brigades, shared his impressions from a high rostrum. He is a student of MBEI School No.1 in Essentuki, Predgorny district, he scored the most (275) points in the "Electric" competition.

Alina Saushkina, the prize-winner of the contest "Plant Grower", a student of MBEI School No.1, Kochubeevsky district, in her reply, admitted: "I associate all my future professional dreams with agriculture, which is the most promising direction in the field of economy under conditions of sanctions and import substitution. People need quality agricultural products grown in their country. I believe that Stavropol State Agrarian University is the center of science and education that will help me realize my dream, get a decent profession and bring the maximum benefit to Russia. The Olympiad is my first step in tomorrow. "

At the end of the official ceremony, the heads of the Territory, and agrarian university paid attention to the directors of the schools and the heads of education departments of district administrations participated in the Olympics,. Together with Thanksgiving letters and warm handshakes, they all received words of great gratitude for a long-term cooperation with Stavropol State University, good educational training of schoolchildren and, most the chief thing, for upbringing of future agrarians.
