The plenary session of the 82nd student scientific and practical conference of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture was held on April 12.
The conference was opened by Alexander N. Esaulko, the dean, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He said that all scientific achievements begin with student age, and that presentation of the research results to the scientific community is an important element in a young scientist developement.
Among the participants were students and undergraduates of the faculties: Azarova Anna, Bublik Elena, Herman Maria, Kuklanova Anastasia, Mann Anastasia, Perzhinskaya Alla, Pivkin Arsen, Popova Ekaterina, Tambiev Ruslan. Participants of the conference discussed current issues in the field of crop cultivation o; application of fertilizers in winter wheat crops and in cultivation of vegetable crops; development of interactive maps and databases on land use; production of functional soft drinks; modern methods of cleaning small rivers; assessment of the impact of shore protection on the components of the environment. All students received the skill of presenting their own scientific projects, and teachers - Esaulko A.N., Tskhovrebov V.S., Loshakov A.V., Okrut S.V., Vlasova O.I., Sigida M.S., Mandra Yu. A. and Odintsov S. V. - gave their estimation of student work, suggested recommendations for improving and expanding the field of research.
