"Financial fraud: around the bush" - a creative contest in the format of the problem

The project of students "Insurance fraud" of the accounting and financial department of StGAU was recognized as the best in the competition of student miniatures of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory.

The competition "Financial fraud: around the bush" was organized within the framework of the national project of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation "Promoting the level of financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation" and held jointly with the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory. Its goal is to increase the intellectual potential of young people in the field of processes, institutions, instruments, financial sector risks; Perfection of skills and creative abilities, creativity of thinking of a youth student's audience on management of personal financial resources.

To win in the contest, the team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University had to go through two stages. At the first, viewing the videos of the participants, the jury selected seven miniatures, claiming to receive prizes. The second stage was to evaluate the best miniatures shown by contestants on the stage.

A team of three-year students of the Accounting and Finance Department of the State Agrarian University (profile "Finance and Credit") as a part of Sergey Buchantsov, Mikhail Chincharauli, Ekaterina Maksimova, Fakhrudinova Adelia, Dmitry Melnikov, under the supervision of the head of the department "Finance, Credit and Insurance" II Glotova Presented a video and a miniature on the topic "Insurance fraud". The guys explain their choice this way: "Insurance fraud is one of the most serious problems of insurance companies around the world. In the global industry, losses as a result of undeclared scams average 15-20% of the total number of payments collected. "

By the way, do not forget that insurance fraud has a negative impact not only on the activities of insurance companies. It seriously "hits the pockets" of bona fide participants of the insurance market, in particular insurers. After all, it is on their shoulders that the burden of insurers' losses from fraud falls, which is expressed in increasing the cost of insurance policies. This is exactly what the students of StGAU told about in their project.

As a result, they managed to bypass rivals - teams from the North Caucasus Federal University, the Stavropol branch of MGUU. Sholokhov, secondary vocational and general educational institutions of the city of Stavropol and the Stavropol Territory. Students of the Agrarian University were awarded diplomas of winners, and the head of the team of the accounting and financial department I. I. Glotov was awarded the Letter of Appreciation of the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory.
