Do You know IFRS – 2017?

Bachelors and undergraduates of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of Stavropol State Agrarian University tried their hand at the international competition "Do You Know IFRS - 2017", organized by the St. Petersburg State Economic University.

Correspondence competition was conducted with the use of rules and norms of interactive distance educational technologies with the aim of improving the quality of training bachelors and masters, developing the creative abilities of students, improving networked teaching and extracurricular work.

The geography of the participants in the competition in terms of training levels is wide and was represented by the following educational institutions: Astrakhan State Technical University, Bashkir State University, Vologda State University, Financial and Economic Institute (Ulan-Bator, Mongolia), Orenburg State University, St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg Mining University , St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great, St. Petersburg State Economic University, St. Petersburg State University of Management, Rostov State Economic University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Vyatka State University, Plekhanov Russian Economic University, St. Petersburg State University of Communications, Emperor Alexander I, Institute of Management, Economics and Finance Kazan (Privolzhsky) Federal University, Institute of Economics and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce Khujand), Tver State University, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Polotsk State University (Belarus), Far Eastern Federal University, Poznań University of Economics and Business (St. Poznan, Poland), Uniwersytet Ekonomicznyw Poznaniu (Poznan, Poland), Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic).

Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by two teams in the International Student Competition: bachelors of the 4th year of the Accounting and Finance Faculty (Economics Department of the Accounting, Analysis and Audit profile), consisting of: Vjushina Kristina, Anna Karbashova and Alisa Popova; Master of Accounting and Finance Faculty of full-time study in the composition: Victoria Kazakova, Shumskaya Viktoriya, Soldatov Ilya (program "Managerial Accounting and Controlling").

Out of the 18 teams participating in the contest, representing the bachelor's program, the Stavropol SAU team took the fifth place, outscoring the many well-known economic universities of Russia and abroad, and was awarded the "Non-standard solution" nomination.

The Masters were represented by 19 teams-participants from Russian and foreign universities. The team of masters of SSAU took 9th place and was also awarded the nomination "Non-standard solution".

All participants of the competition were awarded with certificates, and the heads of the teams - associate professors of the Department "Financial Accounting" N.V. Kulish and O.E. Sytnik were awarded letters of thanks of the organizing committee of the competition.

The results of participation of students in this competition confirm the level of knowledge, competence and practical skills of application of professional judgment in the field of international financial reporting standards.
