Pursuit of Victory!

08.05.2017

The solemn meeting, dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, gathered more than three thousand participants at the Memory Stele in the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Without violating the long tradition, on the eve of Victory Day - May 4, the Agrarian University was an endless stream of people. Hastily everyone who is involved in the country's sacred military history and close ties is associated with the famous agricultural university.

No one paid attention to the vagaries of the weather, the main thing was not to break the tradition. They all had to meet here, at their home university memorial, which became for everyone a shrine, at the legendary stele. The memory of teachers, students and employees who gave their lives for today's already peaceful, happy spring.

The participants of the Great Patriotic War, who are very few, the workers of the rear, the children of the war with flowers, were greeted by today's students and carefully shielded by umbrellas from the drizzling rain. Here you could see Ivan Yemelyanovich Redkokashin, who knows firsthand the price of the Battle of Stalingrad and the Kursk Bulge, crossing the Dnieper and liberating right-bank Ukraine, after the war he graduated from the zootechnical faculty. The rally was also attended by the chairman of the Leninsky District Council of Veterans of Stavropol Yevgeny Sereda; Tankman Pavel Zakharchenko, who was one of the first to enter Berlin, as well as veterans Alexander Sergeevich Ponomarenko, Yakov Mikhailovich Zverikov.

Each guest was greeted by the rector of Stavropol State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. In honor of their heroic - military and labor - feat, the military march triumphantly sounded, and the honor guard and the "Immortal Regiment" of Agrarny stood proudly in silence.

Despite the venerable age - far beyond 80 and 90, the guests, struck by gray, stretched themselves out with a string when the best students, honors students Nikolai Okashev, Inna Kuliyeva, Alla Shirina proudly introduced the banner of the native ordering higher school, and then Igor Zemlin, Ekaterina Selezneva and Jan Nikonov solemnly walked with the banner of victory.

- Dear our veterans! Our immortal people! - the meeting was opened by the rector Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. - Every year on this day we are going to honor the memory of the dead in this terrible war - the best sons and daughters of the Motherland, and bow low to them. We recall those whose names are engraved on this memorable stele, and which stand today with us in the Immortal Regiment. We are proud that the connection of times is not interrupted, and therefore we are all involved in heroic events.

Time is inexorable. Today is the 72nd spring - the spring of the world and the hope that neither we nor our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will hear the bombings and howling of sirens, of what is happening in the southeast of Ukraine and the tragedy in Odessa. Let the sky illuminate the festive fireworks. Salute of Victory and pride for our people, salute of peace, goodness and joy. In our Museum of Military Glory University, where there is war-scorched earth from the hero cities of our country, there was a worthy place for every feat. No one and nothing should be forgotten. Eternal glory to you, heroes!

The graduate of the agrarian high school Alexei Gonochenko, who heads the regional council of veterans for more than 6 years, the Hero of Labor of Stavropol, Honored Citizen of the Stavropol Territory, urged the agrarian students to study the history of the Great Patriotic War, the bloodiest and most bitter war of the twentieth century, more closely and deeper: "It is not for nothing that we say: this A holiday we meet with tears in our eyes. " Aleksey Alekseevich bitterly complained that modern youths sometimes do not even know such names of heroes as Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, our countrymen - Gennady Golikov, Alexander Skokov and many others. It is necessary to direct efforts to the fact that not all of the 80,000 people who died in the war of the Stavropolians, especially in the Kursk and Stepnovsky Districts, have been found and reburied. "The university, which is famous not only in the Stavropol region, but also in the Russian Federation, has done a lot to produce remarkable personnel," Alexey Alekseevich believes. - Soon, the graduates of the State Agrarian University will leave for work places. Be real defenders of the Motherland always and in everything! ".

"On May 9 we will celebrate and we will cry, because almost every family had losses and someone was killed," the other participant in the rally continued, the retired colonel, the chairman of the Council of Veterans of Stavropol, Pyotr Ivanovich Kuralesov. A share of them, 17-year-old boys, drafted into the army, fell a year and a half of fighting. And no one ever complained, the main thing for the soldiers and commanders of the Red Army was to fulfill the assigned combat mission. Piotr Ivanovich cordially thanked the leadership and the teaching staff for the upbringing of the youth, which honors the memory of Soviet liberator soldiers. He wished the students of StGAU excellent study, so that the Agrarian University, as it is now, sounded throughout the country.

Member of the Great Patriotic War, the defeat of militaristic Japan and international assistance to the Red Army of China, Nikolai Bugaychenko May 14 will meet its 95th anniversary! Associate professor, candidate of technical sciences, 33 years after the war, he taught at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization.

Another teacher of this faculty - candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, veteran of labor Andrei Mikhailovich Krupennikov, who is 85 years old recently, is seriously involved in literary creation. In the author's performance, poetry was dedicated to the historic Victory of the Soviet people over fascism, then participants of all ages joined together a mournful minute of silence.

But if we could declare a minute of silence for each person who died in the Great Patriotic War, the country would be silent for 32 years ... Probably, this too can "measure" the scale of our Victory, although its true greatness is immense, and the Price is immense!
