Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the largest event of the country's agricultural sector.
The summit was held at the Crocus Expo IEC (Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region) on May 23-24 together with the largest international exhibition of innovative technologies for poultry and livestock production "Meat Industry. Chicken King. / VIV Russia 2017".
The largest forum was held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Rosselkhoznadzor, Eurasian Economic Commission, Federal Agency for Fisheries, State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, NGO Rosptitsesoyuz, National Feed Union, National Union of Pig Breeders, National Meat Association, VNIIPP, FGBIO VNIIMP named after V.M. Gorbatov, Rossinioprom Union, Rosselyuzholodprom, VARPE, FGBNU, VNIRO, Association of Fisheries Enterprises, ICCS Halal.
During the summit, the industry leaders discussed the most important problems and prospects for Russia's agro-industrial complex. Based on the experience of the past years, the summit was to become an authoritative platform for business and government dialogue on the industry development, ensuring food security and attracting investment to the agro-industrial complex.
Sergey Pavlovich Sklyarov, head of the department at scientific and innovative training center of Stavropol State Agrarian University, participated in a round table meeting and made a presentation on "Opportunities for the participation of Stavropol State Agrarian University in the development of aquaculture in the Russian Federation".The key topic of the program was the problem of the quality and safety of fish products in the light of technical regulations of Eurasian Economic Union.
In his speech, S. Sklyarov spoke on the development of the fisheries complex as one of the priority tasks of the region. He said that the order of the regional Ministry of Agriculture approved the list of fish breeding sites in Stavropol region - there are now more than 140. This is a good opportunity for Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Over the past 10 years, university scientists have written over 40 research papers (including monographs and scientific and practical recommendations) in the field of aquaculture. The university performed economic contracts to the amount of more than five million rubles. For example, according to the business plan developed by the Stavropol SAU in 2016, Nikolai Dorokhov agricultural entersprise produced 33 tons of fish. The entrepreneur's plans is to sell 41 tons of fish this year.
The III International SUMMIT "Agrarian policy of Russia. Present and Future "ended with an excursion to the enterprise of JSC "Biserovskiy Rybkombinat", where participants saw technological process and also the main fish processing unit.
