Tatyana Denisenko, post-graduate student, and Elena Fonareva, student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Stavropol State University, are among the winners of Russian scientific contest.
36 researchers from 27 Russian universities came to the Stavropol State Agrarian University on May 30 to take part in the III stage of the contest for the best scientific work among students, graduate students and young scientists of the universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in the nominations "Veterinary Medicine" and "Veterinary Sciences".
Before the start professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, rector of Stavropol State c University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Economics, addressed all the participants, who came even from the most remote corners - Novosibirsk, Altai, Irkutsk and other Russian cities and regions.
The contest lasted for 2.5 hours. The participants discussed various issues - infectious diseases of cattle, mastitis in cows, nematodosis of horses, vaccination of pigs, metabolic disorders in poultry and immunity in calves, pathologies in pets - bronchitis and heart disease in dogs, viral peritonitis in cats, even Baikal seal, saigas and bisons.
Klyuchnikova Polina, a 5th year student of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin, the author of the scientific work "Endoparasitosis of bison and measures to controlling them in the reserve"Kaluga Zaseki", was awarded the highest prize of the contest in the nomination "Veterinary". Elena Fonareva, fourth-year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Stavropol State Agrarian University presented the scientific project "Therapeutic effectiveness of gel with nanoparticles for treatment of various wounds in animals" got the 5th place in this contest nomination.
Tatyana Denisenko, post-graduate student of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, received the diploma of the 1st degree and the victory in nomination "Veterinary Sciences" for her project "Free-radical pathology in cows in the postpartum period and development of means for its pharmacological correction."
The second place came to Ekaterina Kozhevnikova, fifth-year student of Bashkir State Agrarian University, who is involved in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dermatophylosis in sports horses (nomination "Veterinary"), and Dmitry Oleinikov, 2nd year post-graduate student from St. Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, who studies metabolic features of heart failure of different etiology (nomination "Veterinary Sciences").
The third place went to Marina Koldyayeva, fifth-year student of Saratov State Agrarian University, for the technology of creating a bio-integrable coating for titanium implants with antiseptic properties (nomination "Veterinary"). The same award in nomination "Veterinary Sciences"went to Anatoly Stetyuha, second year post-graduate student from Don State Agrarian University, engaged in the diagnosis and prevention of the malnutrition of the young saigas.
On May 31 the chairman of the expert commissions V. I. Truhachev personally thanked all participants for their scientific projects, and all the colleague members of the jury for their work. The awards ceremony was supported by student groups of Stavropol State Agrarian University - laureates of international and Russian competitions vocal studio "Provans", "Stylnye shtuchki" and "Golden Foxes".
