Darina Serdyukova, a student of the third year of Social and Cultural Services and Tourism, studying in the field of "Service", became the winner in the competitive selection for participation in the International Youth Agrarian Summit.
The initiators of the Summit ("Youth Ag-Summit") were the International Concern Bayer and the Association of Young Farmers from Belgium (Groene Kring and Fédération des Jeunes Agriculteurs). They invited ambitious young people from all over the world who are keen on agricultural issues; participate in the competition, and then best to come to Belgium for a summit.
Darina Serdyukova sent her creative essay on the food safety of the planet, written in English. The jury appreciated the work with the original ideas, and now the student of the Stavropol Agrarian University can participate in the delegation of the Russian Federation at the Summit, which will be held on October 9-13, 2017 in Brussels.
About 100 young delegates from around the world here will exchange ideas for tackling global agricultural problems, develop solutions and openly discuss one of the most pressing issues of the time: how to solve the problem of hunger on the planet? The main goal of the Summit is to attract the attention of society, and especially the youth, to issues of food security, rational use of resources, and provision of food for the growing population of the Earth.
Bayer holds the competition with the support of the Department of Science and Technology Policy and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Skolkovo Foundation, the National Training Foundation and the Russian Union of Rural Youth.
