21.06.2017

Maxim Zhebrikov, Master of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of SSAU, the only one in the Stavropol region who was awarded the scholarship of the V.I. Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation.

In the 2017 competition, 198 students from 54 higher education institutions of the Russian Federation and Belarus took part. As a result, the only winner in the Stavropol region was the student of the Agrarian University.

Maxim Zhebrikov presented a motivation letter, the results of his scientific research on the evaluation of oil pollution and the mechanisms for the restoration of oil-polluted soils using biological methods to participate in the student scholarships competition of this foundation.

- I think that the profession of an ecologist is a noble one, which allows not only to assess the scale of a catastrophic catastrophe, but also to develop recommendations and rules that will help to avoid it. And participation in the Vernadsky Foundation competition is an opportunity to gain experience in advancing the results of environmental research, attracting young professionals to the problems of sustainable development, these are the thoughts that Maxim put forward in his motivational letter.

By the way, for Maxim this victory is not the first. In 2014, being a student of the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, he became A.D. Argunov Fellow, and in 2015 he was awarded the scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Currently, the master of the first year of the course "Ecology and Nature Management" Maxim Zhebrikov is a member of the student scientific circle "Ecological expertise and environmental impact assessment". By the way, Yulia Alexandrovna Mandra, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, heads the circle as a scientific adviser. In the past, she was twice a Fellow of the Vernadsky Foundation.

Referential:

The scholarship program of the Vernadsky Foundation was established in 1996. It is awarded to environmental students who study the problems of sustainable development. This scholarship program is one of the steps of the Foundation's educational system, the purpose of which is the formation of a "golden cadre reserve" of modern science and economics.
