23.06.2017

Scientists of the Faculties of Technological Management and Veterinary Medicine of SSAU carry out research on the assignment of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

In order to attract public attention to the issues of environmental development of the Russian Federation, preservation of biological diversity and ensuring environmental safety, 2017 is declared the Year of Ecology in our country. Researchers of the Agrarian University contribute to the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products and the environmental safety of the industry as a whole.

At present, the team of agricultural scientists is developing scientifically grounded recommendations on the use of bacteria in litter material, which is used to keep farm animals and poultry. In this regard, the teachers of the State University of Civil Aviation during a few June days in the conditions of a university vivarium equipped with isolated boxes conducted the experiment under the guidance of Professor Elena Edugardovna Epimahova.

The efficiency of administration of the probiotic in the litter in growing broilers for biological deodorization effect air. In practice, the researchers used modern methods of comprehensive evaluation of physical, microbiological and organoleptic air quality and litter. In the study participated actively Professor N.A. Ozheredova, associate E.V. Svetlakova and A.A. Hodusov, Senior Lecturer T. Aleksandrov, as well as students in the course of practice-oriented training.

As a result, they found that in the experimental group, in comparison with the control group, the level of unpleasant odors is 2 times lower, and the live weight of broilers for slaughter is 2% higher.
