Meeting of the Academic Council of the State Agrarian University completed the academic year

"Clearly set goals - educational, scientific, educational - and strive to achieve them" called all members of the Academic Council of the Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the RAS V. I. Truhachev.

In addition to resolving the issues related to the election of department heads, election by competition, approval of the staffing schedule and training load in SSAU for the 2017/2018 academic year, the rector of the State Agrarian University has identified another important vector of the activity of the collective of an agrarian institution. It concerns new steps in mentoring, the result of which are promising students who, thanks to the contribution of scientific leaders and their own aspirations, will in the future ascend to the agrarian Olympus.

One of the central issues on the agenda was also an analysis of the results of educational, methodological, scientific and educational work at the Faculty of Economics over the past five years, presented in the report of Dean, Doctor of Economics, Professor Olga Nikolaevna Kusakina. At the same time, the directions for improving the faculty's activities were considered by the speaker through the prism of the criteria of the National University Ranking of 2017.

According to Professor O. N. Kusakina, the attractiveness of any faculty for applicants is determined, among other things, by the authority of scientific and pedagogical staff, the forms and methods of conducting classes, the involvement of employers and, in general, the quality of educational programs. And in this the oldest faculty of the university is an economic one, which successfully operates for 56 years, has quite succeeded. Although the high reputation of the economic school of the Agrarian University must be maintained on a daily basis.

"The forms of conducting classes with students require constant improvement," says Olga Nikolaevna, "since it gives an opportunity to show the intellectual professional abilities of students, which they then demonstrate, participating and winning competitions, regional and all-Russia Olympiads.

The importance of employers' participation in the educational process is also extremely necessary. And this concerns the practical training of the teachers themselves, which is facilitated by the on-site training of the collective at the agricultural enterprises of the region. Priority in the exchange of experience is the software products, the most common in the activities of organizations. Based on the results of the internship on the basis of the Institute of Additional Professional Education of the State Agrarian University, every teacher is protected. And the experience of communicating with employers and graduates convinced the team of economics in the importance of the approach being implemented - the use of a "through" training system for the possibilities of automation of economic activity.

"Our students are in many ways ready for practical work," the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor O. N. Kusakina, proudly declares.

This is evidenced by the annual student victories, obtained, by the way, in competition with representatives of profile universities, as well as a high rate of employment of graduates - 78%.

A modern specialist in the economic profile can not be competitive without knowledge of foreign languages. Therefore, students actively improve the language during the teleconference, during participation in international conferences, as well as after-hours. A particularly active initiator in this regard was Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Management and Law Viktor Alekseevich Cherepanov with a course of five lectures in English. One-time lectures were given by Associate Professor IV Samoylenko and assistants - A. R. Grigoryan and D. O. Grachev. All these initiatives played a positive role in the format of the entire university, since the events were of inter-faculty character.

Positive feedback in the region receives numerous supplementary education programs conducted by faculty of economics and requiring a high qualification of PPP. But further popularization of these programs is still necessary.

To areas for improvement in the activities of the faculty is the development of electronic educational resources in modern software shells, primarily electronic textbooks and teaching aids. This will create an electronic information base for the independent work of students. Despite the existing material and technical base, which allows to carry out the educational process qualitatively, there is a need to reconstruct two audiences. The management of the faculty considers a strategic goal to be an entrance to the defense of doctoral dissertations of young scientists, for which there is already a 5-year research reserve. In the near future - the creation of image faculty laboratories.

According to experienced teachers, a modern specialist in the economic profile will be the leader in any workforce. And the multi-faceted socialization of the student at the Faculty of Economics is achieved here due to involvement in active volunteer activities, the work of various creative workshops and sports competitions.

At the end of the speeches of colleagues - representatives of the Faculty of Economics - the result of the university in general in the academic year 2017/2018 was summed up by Rector of the Stavropol Agrouniversity, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V. I. Truhachev. In his opinion, the year was successful in all respects, therefore, the algorithm of collective collective actions - "clearly setting goals - educational, scientific, educational - and strive to achieve them" - remains unchanged. The head of the university wished the staff a good summer holiday, in order to return with renewed strength to their favorite work.
