The educational forum for the leaders of the Volunteer Movement of Stavropol, organized by the Electoral Commission of the Stavropol Territory and the Agrarian University, was held on August 29 on the basis of SSAU.

More than 150 volunteers from all over Stavropol came to the forum at the Agrarian University. The participants of the event were the leaders-activists of the voluntary movement of municipal districts, city districts, universities, colleges and youth activists of the Stavropol Territory, representatives of state authorities, and organizations for working with youth.

The forum started with the discussion platform "Volunteers and information and educational campaigns", conducted by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of Social Technologies Department of NCFU Valery Mitrofanenko.

As coordinator of the Volunteers Movement of Stavropol, Valeriy Valentinovich noted that in 2018 the movement, which is known far beyond the borders of Russia and Russia, will be 20 years old, and thanked all the socially active young people present for participating in various volunteer programs. Then he led a very unconventional, interested conversation about the very philosophy of volunteering, where there is a place for developing leadership qualities, self-realization, gaining professional experience, protecting one's own rights and everyone can live a bright, interesting life.

About 40 thousand boys and girls in our region participate in the volunteer movement. Ivan Ulianchenko, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Stavropol Territory, thanked in his welcoming speech for the active life position, the desire to help people free of charge, and the cooperation with the regional ministry of representatives of the remarkable movement. Ivan Ivanovich also emphasized the participation of volunteers in creating a barrier-free environment for disabled people, so that about 210,000 residents of the province, who have limited opportunities, could realize their electoral rights.

The head of the regional election commission and the head of the regional ministry of labor and social protection consolidated the forthcoming coordination in this direction by signing an appropriate agreement, which was an important event for the region. The document guarantees the electoral rights of disabled people and pensioners, due to which these categories of citizens should not feel obstacles either on the way to the place of voting or at the polling station itself.

Another guest of the forum, Dmitriy Donetsky, spoke about the positive role of volunteer units, consisting of indifferent young people, in the task of providing open, free, democratic elections, especially for voters with disabilities and the elderly. According to the Deputy Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Stavropol Territory, the fate of our region depends on the municipal elections, the fate of the country from presidential elections.
