Cooperation: important, mutually beneficial, effective

Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University have started a new academic year from visiting partner enterprises, with which the university has established long-term relationships. The scientists of Stavropol State Agrarian University continued their research activities, carrying out state contracts with the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory.

Formation of professional competencies of future specialists is a continuous process that includes not only classroom and out-of-school training but also involves close communication of agricultural youth with competent production workers in the region, since practical orientation of education is the most important educational vector that Stavropol State Agrarian University adheres to.

Since the beginning of the 2017/2018 academic year, the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources (training areas "Food from Vegetable Raw Materials") have been given an introductory training experience in obtaining the primary professional skills that they will need in the forthcoming scientific-research activity.

So, in order to personally see and begin to comprehend the features of the production of alcoholic, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as cereal flakes and feed, the students visited excursions at the enterprises of the city of Stavropol. These included: Naryshny IE, Stryzhament Distillery, Stavropol Wine and Brandy Factory, Stavropol Brewery, Private Brewery Petrovich, and even barmen school. Representatives of these industries and enterprises, potential employers, told students about the products, the fundamentals and features of the technologies used, and answered questions of interest to them.

Meanwhile, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university continued its work in the framework of the state contract with the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory. It is a question of developing scientifically grounded recommendations on the use of bacteria in litter material used to grow farm animals and poultry. In order to select the material for further research, associate professor of the Department of Epizootology and Microbiology, E.V. Svetlakova, and senior lecturer of the Department of Feeding Animals and General Biology, T.S. Aleksandrova, carried out trips to the regional farms: “Khleborob” Ltd, Petrovsky District, “Lesnye klyuchi”, Shpakovsky district, SEC farm “Second Five-Year Plan”, Ipatovsky district, farm “Russia” Novoaleksandrovsky district, CJSC “Stavropol Broiler” Nevinnomyssk, which are strategic partners of the faculties of veterinary medicine and technological management of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Let us recall that earlier, in May-June, in the conditions of the university vivarium equipped with isolated boxes, under the leadership of Professor E.E. Epimakhova, an experiment was conducted to study the effectiveness of introducing probiotics into the litter when broiler chickens were grown for biological air deodorization. Professors N.A. Ozheredova, associate professors E.V. Svetlakova, A.A. Khodusov, senior lecturer T.S. Aleksandrova, as well as students in practice-oriented classes took an active part in it. Modern methods of complex estimation of physical, microbiological and organoleptic parameters of air quality and litter were applied.
