On the Day of the 55th anniversary of the Leninsky district of the regional capital, on September 8, many thousands of members of the Agrarian University received "laurels" of deserved recognition. In honor of the glorious jubilee since the day of the Leninsky district's foundation, photos of collectives of large enterprises, organizations, whose contribution to the building of the region have earned thanks of all its residents, were placed on the Honor Board. "Entering on the Honor Board is a socially significant phenomenon, a sign of respect and admiration for people who personify the history and destiny of our region," it was said at the opening of the solemn ceremony.

The head of the administration of the Leninsky district of the city of Stavropol, Alexander Dmitrievich Gribennik, regards the Honor Board as a recognition of the highest achievements of its inhabitants, their annual contribution to the development of the district:

"The people and collectives that we brought to the Honor Board today deserve the greatest respect." This is the best of the best! Everything that we have today is made by your hands. Everything that we are proud of today is the result of your work. Thank you very much for your work, for your spare time, energy, your personal time, making our region more beautiful, making it what it is today!

From the deputy corps and the chairman of the regional Duma Gennady Vladimirovich Yagubov, the participants of the celebratory event were Valentina Muravieva, chairwoman of the Committee for Social and Youth Policy, Education, Science, Culture and Mass Media of the Duma of Stavropol Territory. Having heartily congratulated all residents on the holiday and the collectives, who were honored in 2017 to be brought to the Honor Board, Valentina Nikolayevna said: "These are the best people! And they should be known in the region." The Chairman of the Council of Veterans (Pensioners) of the War, Labor, Armed Forces and law enforcement bodies of the Leninsky district of the city of Stavropol, Yevgeny Sereda, also addressed the audience.

Upon completion of the award ceremony, the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor, deputy of the Duma of Stavropol Territory, Hero of Labor of Stavropol, Honorary citizen of Stavropol Territory Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, whose team was awarded the right to be brought to the Leninsky District Honor Board, thanked for the high evaluation of the university and reported:

- Today we have 18.5 thousand students, two thousand teachers and employees - a huge labor collective of the Order-bearing Agrarian University. We have been very active in this year in landscaping, showing the whole city that an example should be taken from the Leninsky district. As a result, Pushkin Street is the best in the city! Mira street landscaped by the Agrarian university together with the Medical university, is also the best in the city! We built the best student hostel for a thousand places, and by September 1 we prepared a new all-season multi-purpose sports ground. And all this became the property of our Leninsky district!
