The Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Esaulko and the staff of the Department for the Production and Processing of Food Products from Plant Raw Materials visited the advanced fruit growing in the Donskoy village of the Trunovsky District in the Stavropol Territory.
The annual gross harvest of apple, cherry and plum fruit in this farm is more than four thousand tons from the area of fruit plantations more than 300 hectares. It employs superintensive technology for cultivating fruit crops on trellises with the growing of more than three thousand trees per hectare, providing fertigation (the introduction of liquid fertilizers or pesticides during irrigation) and the system of protection of trees by anti-grid grids.
Representatives of the Stavropol State Agrarian University and production workers discussed the existing problems in the industry and outlined ways to address them. The Agrarian University and the advanced economy in the person of the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Alexander Esaulko and the head of the enterprise Zaur Kazurokhov concluded an agreement on scientific and creative cooperation in the field of personnel training and on the basis of scientific research works of faculty members, as well as conducting student practices and their further employment.
