Student Insurance Agency: Practice of Participation in Real Business Processes

Students of financial and economic faculties learned about the prospects of working in the insurance business.

On October 4, within the framework of the Day of the Russian Insurer on the basis of the training and practical laboratory "Insurance Shop", the teachers of the department "Finance, Credit and Insurance" conducted consulting work on recruiting students for training in the Student Insurance Agency. The event was held jointly with representatives of the branch of PJSC IC "Rosgosstrakh" - the leading manager of agency groups Lyudmila Nikolaevna Lenkova and insurance consultant Anastasia Valerievna Tsokalo.

The Student Insurance Agency has been working at Stavropol State Agrarian University for the fourth year already. As part of its activities, students, primarily studying insurance, get acquainted with the real business processes of the largest insurance company in the Russian Federation. Work in the agency gives students the opportunity to apply in practice the knowledge and skills obtained in the university, to undergo deeper professional training as potential employees of the insurance sector, to increase their personal capitalization and competitiveness in the labor market.

Currently, 15 students of the Accounting and Finance Department work at Student Insurance Agency of SSAU. Last year, 65 insurance contracts were signed by students working in the university agency, this year - 79 contracts.

The representatives of the insurance company told the students about the prospects of working in the insurance business and secrets of the profession of the insurer, as well as the trends in the development of the insurance industry in the Russian economy. In addition, the students received the necessary consultations on insurance products offered by Rosgosstrakh. Talented, active, students received an invitation to take an internship in the insurance company.
