In the resort city of Kislovodsk, on October 13, the main wine festival of Stavropol was held, in which representatives of two faculties of the Agrarian University took part: teachers and students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Social and Cultural Services and Tourism.
Our Stavropol region with a favorable climate is on the IV place in Russia in the territories occupied by vineyards. To date, 14 districts of the Old Town are engaged in winemaking. Nevertheless, the regional authorities are trying to expand the scale of production, increasing the area to 21 thousand hectares.
A grand annual festival, held this year in Kislovodsk, was dedicated to the end of the harvest season in the vineyards of the region. In addition to manufacturers working in this field, representatives of federal trade networks, industry specialists and experienced tasters took part in the event. The guests of the event were First Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol region Nikolai Velikdan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Stavropol region Irina Kuvaldina, Regional Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Sitnikov, Head of the City of Kislovodsk Alexander Kurbatov.
The fourth happy holiday wine festival was very bright and on a grand scale – on Resort-Boulevard in the resort city! At the festival, the Stavropol State Agrarian University presented the scientific and educational methodological development of the department for the production and processing of food products from plant raw materials - educational and educational tools for processing grapes and producing wine products, as well as young wine received by students in the direction "Food from vegetable raw materials "in the framework of the work of the circle" Young winemaker "under the supervision of the head of the department Elena Semyonovna Romanenko and assistant professor Sosyura Elena Alekseevna, drinks of a functional purpose - mead, bitter tinctures and 11 grades of kraft beer.
Within the framework of the festival, a forum-presentation was held on the winemaking and viticulture of the partner countries of the Stavropol Territory. In the professional discussion, the General Honorary Consul of Italy in the Southern Federal District (SFD) and in the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) Pierpaolo Lodigiani, the agriculture adviser of the German Embassy Thomas Huber, the head of the Trade Representation of the Hungarian Embassy in Rostov-on-Don, Andrey Bukai, as well as the representatives of the Hungarian wine companies participated.
Foreign businessmen showed interest in implementing investment projects in the Stavropol region. Thus, we can say that the Stavropol festival "Young Wine" confidently enters the international orbit. Agrarian University is also ready to increase its scientific and educational potential in relation to the perspective sphere of the agro-industrial complex of the region - viticulture. At 54 enterprises of the wine industry of the Stavropol region, which is among the leaders in the area of vineyards in Russia, currently employs more than six thousand people, and qualified personnel are waiting for.
