To the student of the 2nd year of the electric power faculty of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Yakov Avdeev after the bright victories in the sport of higher achievements was awarded the title of the master of sports of Russia of the international class.
This joyful event was preceded by the victory of Yakov in the Russian championship in June 2017, which was the key victory in the selection for the XIX World Championships in Croatia, which was held in Osnek.
The number of participants in the world championship in shooting from a crossbow exceeded 200 people from 12 countries. The Russian national team took 1st place in the overall team world standings, and Avdeev Yakov, a member of the Russian national team, was a silver medalist in the individual category ("juniors under 23").
It is worth explaining that competitions in shooting from a crossbow are always conducted on the street and regardless of weather conditions. Shoot three distances in two days: 35, 50 and 65 meters. The sum of days and distances determines the "eight" of the leaders who have reached the final. As a result, it is the successful final in 10 shots that helps to determine, in the case of an equal number of points for two days, the champion and the prize-winners.
