On October 23 it is 80 years old to Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, professor of the department of general agriculture, plant breeding and breeding named after Professor F.I. Bobryshev of the Stavropol State University, Honorary Worker of the agrarian and industrial complex of Russia Georgiy Romanovich Dorozhko.

The bright talent of the researcher, the enormous scientific potential and colossal experience deservedly earned G. R. Dorozhko universal deep respect and recognition in the Stavropol Territory and in Russia!

The love of the land, respect for the people of labor in agricultural production, initially determined his life path. Having successfully graduated from the Agronomic faculty of the Stavropol Agricultural Institute in 1968, he received a profession - a learned agronomist, which became his vocation.

For invaluable contribution to the sustainable development of agriculture, agrarian science in the development and improvement of the scientific foundations of the agricultural systems of Stavropol, promising technologies for cultivating agricultural plants, taking into account the zonal features of natural factors, the introduction of direct seeding technology, the zero till tillage system, Georgiy Dorozhko won the status of an authoritative scholar of Russia! The results of scientific research by G. Dorozhko are widely used not only in the province, but also far beyond its borders.

For many years, Georgiy Romanovich is engaged in scientific and methodological work at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. He is the founder of the scientific school "Modern technologies of cultivation of agricultural crops on agrolandscape basis", one of the authors of valuable scientific works for the national agro-industrial complex - "The fundamentals of farming systems" and "The agricultural system of Stavropol", an innovator in the field of improving the Stavropol zonal resource- and energy-saving farming systems, attentive and demanding scientific supervisor, thanks to which 15 candidates and two doctors of science successfully defended their works. Thus, the scientist made an invaluable contribution to the development of the crop industry and the increase of the food security of the Fatherland, gave a new impetus to the country's agricultural production.
