"Introduction to the specialty" - in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stavropol Territory

On October 19, a practical-oriented occupation was held for the first-year students of the economic faculty (profile "World Economy") in the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is a strategic partner of the Agrarian University.

The lesson in the discipline "Introduction to the specialty" was conducted by the adviser to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the ST, Valova Lyubov, who reported on the structure of the organization, departments and services being implemented. At the same time, the main emphasis of her speech was on the work of the department of foreign economic activity.

Experts of the department Alla Kravchenko, Alina Ayupova and Bogdan Seleginsky told the students about the features of accompanying foreign economic activity of enterprises and organizations of the region, the development of partnership of entrepreneurs of the Stavropol Territory with colleagues from other regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.

An interesting example and topic for discussion was the visit of the delegation from Azerbaijan to the Stavropol Territory with the issues of implementing interregional relations in the field of trade, scientific and technological achievements and cultural ties. The students were introduced to the background and positive results of cooperation of our region with the Transcaucasian state, which include the development of a whole chain of restaurants of Azerbaijani cuisine, the opening of trading houses, the export of supplies from the province, including sausages, medical products, welding equipment,etc

Special attention was paid to future specialists by the questions of employment at enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity and who are potential employers of graduates of an agrarian higher educational institution.

After getting acquainted with the work of the department of foreign economic activity, the guys were able to participate in the "Forsyth Camp", which was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the second phase of the all-Russian project "Foresight navigation". The students got acquainted with the projects of the participants of the foresight session, which were prepared with the aim of justifying proposals to the Strategy of the region's development until 2035.
