Electrical engineer is the profession of the future

One of the best substations in the South of Russia - 500/330 kV Nevinnomyssk of the branch "PJSC" IDGC of the North Caucasus "was visited by students of Electric Power Faculty of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The most modern substation of the region - PS 500kV "Nevinnomyssk" was visited by students of the 4th course under the supervision of associate professors of the Department "Electricity supply and operation of electrical equipment" A.V. Efanov and E.E. Privalov. The excursion to the advanced enterprise was held within the framework of the discipline "Exploitation of power supply systems ".

The chief of the duty shift of the SS 500 informed the future power engineers that in terms of technical equipment in their voltage class the substation "Nevinnomyssk" is one of the best in the South of Russia. With its design and construction, modern technologies, developed and implemented in the electric power industry of the 21st century, were used.

This lesson was organized within the framework of the Targeted Communication Program "Electric Power - the Future Profession", which is actively implemented by IDGC of the North Caucasus. The program is designed to enhance the prestige of the electricity industry as the main condition for the inflow of qualified personnel into the electric grids of Russia. Practical orientation of excursions to power facilities of IDGC of the North Caucasus is included in the program of measures to prevent cases of electric traumatism of workers, the purpose of which is to increase students' literacy in relation to knowledge of safety regulations.
