Two students-athletes of SSAU Anastasia Mytsyk and Maria Ivanova, having received official licenses of judges, now have the full right to judge volleyball matches of the highest level.

From 16 to 23 October an interregional seminar on beach and classical volleyball was held in Nizhny Novgorod. Students of Stavropol State Agrarian University - Mytsyk Anastasia (electric power faculty) and Ivanova Maria (faculty of veterinary medicine) took part.

The girls had a chance to attend lectures on the basics of beach volleyball technique and learn the refereeing from one of the outstanding coaches - the master of sports of the USSR in volleyball, the USSR Cup winner Molchanov Sergey Nikolaevich.

Sergei Nikolaevich opened the first school of beach volleyball in Russia, in 2010-2011 worked as head coach of the national beach volleyball team, then for five years - the head coach of the volleyball team "Sparta" (the highest league "A") in Nizhny Novgorod. Thus, the athletes of Agrarian University received a unique opportunity to practice their knowledge in training under the direction of S. N. Molchanov.

Sergey Nikolayevich shared his invaluable experience, which our volleyball players tried to take as much as possible. The legendary coach outlined the main points, which should be paid attention during the refereeing, as well as various precedents during the game.

At the end of the seminar, Anastasia Mytsyk and Maria Ivanova successfully passed the test, which resulted in the official licensing of judges. Now the girls will be able to judge volleyball matches of the highest level and will undoubtedly continue improving their own sports skills in beach and classical volleyball.
