Modern problems of epidemiology, microbiology and hygiene

Young scientists of the faculty of veterinary medicine of the Stavropol State University spoke at a conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute.

On November 22, in accordance with the Order of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, a scientific and practical conference of young scientists and specialists of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare took place on the basis of the Federal Public Health Institution "Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute" "Modern Problems of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Hygiene".

The scientific directions of the conference touched upon such issues as: fundamental, applied and legal aspects of risk analysis to the health of the population; theoretical and practical aspects of epidemiological surveillance of infectious diseases; the study of the foundations of the vital activity of microorganisms and the problems of their evolution; provision of anti-epidemic measures in the emergency zone; chemical, biological and radiation safety of the population. There was talk about modern methods and algorithms for laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases. Colleagues discussed the introduction of new biotechnologies for the production of drugs for laboratory diagnosis and prevention of infectious diseases, information technologies in the study and monitoring of infectious diseases, nanotechnologies in living systems, the evaluation of safety of nanomaterials, and shared the experience of international interaction with scientific organizations and GLP laboratories (i.e. with good laboratory practice).

Young scientists from the North Caucasus Federal University, the Stavropol State Medical University and the Stavropol State Agrarian University took an active part in the conference. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by the post-graduate student of the Department of Epizootology and Microbiology for 3 years of training A. N. Chernikov, who delivered a report "Aerosol Disinfection Method and Its Importance in the Prevention and Elimination of Infectious Diseases", and postgraduate student of the Department of Parasitology and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise , anatomy and patanatomy D. Е. Chervyakov - with the report "Epizootic situation on babesiosis of dogs in urban conditions".
