To be in the wake of the world science: about participation in the III National Congress on Regenerative Medicine

In a large-scale and significant event that took place on November 15-18 on the basis of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, the senior lecturer of the Department of Parasitology and Veterinary Expertise, Anatomy and Pathanatomy Professor S. N. Nikolsky of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol State Agrarian University O. V. Dilekova.

In the XXI century, medicine is built on a new philosophy of restoring health, improving the quality of life and active longevity, which requires fundamentally new approaches in the treatment and prevention of diseases. Treatment without pills and surgeries, healing of severe and lethal diseases, prolongation of life, regeneration of organs is a vector of actions of the near future, which was proclaimed at the III National Congress on Regenerative Medicine. More than a thousand scientists from 15 countries of the world, including CIS countries, USA, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Austria, who are international experts, doctors, organizers of public health, as well as representatives of the industry engaged in practical developments in the field of regenerative medicine, participated in the event.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Health of the Russian Federation V. I. Skvortsov, Rector of Moscow State University, Academician V. A. Sadovnichy, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation S. A. Krayeva, Director of the Department of Science, Innovation Development and Management of Medical and Biological Health Risks I. V. Korobko, the dean of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of Moscow State University, Academician VA Tkachuk, who headed the Congress Organizing Committee, and the Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician V. P. Chekhonin.

A rich scientific program of the Congress included symposiums, round tables, specialized meetings, which allowed specialists to discuss the most important issues in the field of regenerative medicine, assess current trends and outline further ways of development. On November 18, there was an offsite Industrial session with a visit to the biotechnopark "Generium", where the fundamental aspects of regenerative medicine are already being implemented.

According to the president of the Congress, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, V. A. Tkachuk: "Regenerative medicine is not so much new technologies, it is a new direction of medicine that did not exist before; cytologists, biochemists, genetics, surgeons, transplantologists, immunologists should participate in its development and development and many other specialists. The mission of the Congress is to unite them into a community of like-minded people, through whose joint efforts regenerative medicine will develop in Russia and enter into creative interaction with biologists and medics of other countries".
