IV Championship in Corporate Finance

Students of the Financial and Economic faculties of the speciality"Economics" (profiles "Finance and Credit", "Accounting, Analysis and Audit", "Economics of Enterprises and Organizations", "World Economy") and the specialty "Economic Security" took part in the event. ".

The purpose of the championship is to promote the professional growth of talanted students and to involve them in continuing their education at the master's level.

The event was organized by the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance. The jury included: leading experts of PJSC Bank "Otkrytiye" - head of payroll projects Silantiev Ruslan, head of the customer service group Ekaterina Musaeva, senior specialist of the customer service group Alexander Gubka; financial manager of "Stavropol Broiler" Petrovich Kristina; associate professors of the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance Affairs Uglitskikh Olga and Klishina Julia. It should be noted that all jury members are graduates of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

When solving tasks, participants demonstrated the ability to reflect on topics from the field of corporate finance and business valuation, build logical chains of reasoning, interpret conclusions, and apply knowledge of the theory of corporate finance in solving applied problems, including involving related sciences.

In the championship on corporate finance, five teams fought in three competitions. First, the participants showed a portfolio in which they presented their team. The next stage in the struggle for victory was the presentation of the results of the homework "Investing in non-standard ideas for business". A separate test was the solution of a situational problem, that is, based on real situations, which allows to obtain additional knowledge and practical skills in the field of corporate finance from the hands of professional practitioners.

The championship ended with the contest "Corporate Finance in Questions and Answers", erudition in which flashed fans who participated in solving puzzles and riddles.

The team "Mystic Five" won the 4th championship of the Stavropol State Agrarian University for corporate finance (the 4th course of the direction "Economy", the profile of "Finance and Credit"), in second place - the team "We Are Theory" (3rd course of the direction "Economics" profile "Economics of Enterprises and Organizations"), the third - the team "VILMaD" (2 course, specialty "Economic Security").

Winners of the championship were awarded valuable gifts. The best students are awarded with diplomas of the winners in the individual competition. So, Anastasov Ilya became the leader of the nomination "Intellectual". The diploma in the nomination "Financial genius" marked Kalugina Ekaterina. Mishchenko Anastasia was in the lead in the nomination "Best Analyst". The winner in the nomination "Miss" Corporate Finance "was Nikonova Yana, and Tsiselskaya Yuliya won in the nomination "Financier of the Year". Students received certificates for the right to publish an article in the collection of scientific papers on the results of the V All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists "The Development of Financial Science: Controversial Issues in Modern Studies".

Participation in the championship allowed students to demonstrate to representatives of business structures their knowledge in the subject area of corporate finance, as well as the ability to prepare presentations, substantiate and defend their conclusions, confirmed by calculations. The professional jury noted the high level of training of participants and the importance of this event for the formation of professional competencies of students.
